A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'

DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.

SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.

SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'

SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think:

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.

'No daddy, I'm awake,' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.

'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.

'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family and friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

Please bear with me my unforgivable grammar mistakes dotted all over this post and for my very immature ideas which I use to write this post. Mr Kok, you're free to comment on any grammar mistakes I made...lol (this being the first one - use of slang and non-standard English)

(Calvin and Nick, why you two who sit in the frontest row of the class forget to put the title?!!)

Dating 03 December 2008 of the Gregorian calendar (pronounced as "/ˈkæl.ən.də/" and not "/ˈkæl.æn.də/") from 1500 hours to 1800 hours, 24 Malaysian Public Services Department (PSD) scholars of class Architecture Group 1 (Batch 2008) who studied in KBU International College Room A610 were having their last English class with Mr Kok Tuck Meng before taking a very important examination known as the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) which their lecturer Mr Kok TM took it very seriously and to quote him "I'M NOT JOKING!" *shows his set of teeth*

Oh Woei Song, I've just committed your mistake of writing one sentence which constitutes a whole paragraph. In my opinion, I'm rather doubtful that the above sentence is a complex-compound sentence. Anyway, cut off the formality and start glorifying Manglish, Malaysian English, the "-lah"s and the "-mah"s and so on... (Ginger, does this remind you of anything? hehe...)

It all started after Mr Kok tortured the Arch 1 students with horrendous and confusing IELTS Listening and Reading exercises. At his mercy, we were given a break. Nick the class representative and Song went down secretly to Secret Recipe to buy a blueberry cheesecake only to leave the as RED as Lola's two and a half feet tubular sex Secret Recipe bag in front of the class.

Meanwhile (I hope I used this word correctly), Calvin the assistant class representative was busy writing and checking the thank-you card for Mr Kok, which he thought Calvin was selling some drugs to alleviate the pain resulting from IELTS. Anyway, Calvin was actually scrutinising for grammar, spelling and syntax of the card. He was afraid that Mr Kok will get a myocardial infarction when perusing the card for interesting comments, especially seeing Nad's spelling of 'antics' as 'antiques' and Aqil's confusion between advise (v) and advice (n).

Having observed our weird actions of hiding things under paper and whispering in soft voices with excited faces, Mr Kok, I guess he knew that we were scheming up to something and decided to let us off earlier in anticipation of a non-surprise party. Mr Old Nick then presented him the error-all-over thank-you card and took out the cake.

Admittedly, Architecture Group 1 students are very smart. Poh Hui and I lighted up the candles but do not know what is it for, so they gave an excuse that it represented the six months Mr Kok taught and tortured us. Nadhirah was even more clever, she changed the Happy Birthday song into a "Thank You Thank You Mr Kok" song.

Don't laugh, because after you read, you won't laugh anymore...

A hooker's death made schoolchildren cried and attended her funeral and the school lowered the national flag for her.

In the funeral of this 21 years old pretty teacher, the Headmaster read Xia's diary sadly in front of all the students, she wrote : 'Each prostitution, can help one unschooled child; become a mistress once, can rescue a hopeless primary school.'....

Xia (殷彩霞) lived in a small village in the province of Gansu. All girls in this small village, no matter whether she is pretty or not, went to southern part of city to earn money. Every spring, they will come back with lots of money and beautiful clothes. However, Xia did not follow their ways after she finishing secondary school. A lot of people did not understand her as she has a pretty appearance and body. Of this, her father always scolded her.

When she heard of the only primary school in the village needing some teachers, she voluntarily asked to become a teacher for free. She was a very good student in her secondary school and because of this, she easily passed all the test and became the teacher of the school.

The first time when Xia walked into the classroom, all children were shocked to see such pretty teacher. From then on, the classroom was always filled with laughter. Classroom -- should call it a hut instead of classroom as the wall was made of sticks and covered with leaves as its ceiling. A big stone was their table and the most expensive property would be the polished dark green stone which was used as their blackboard. Under these conditions, Xia taught thousands of Chinese characters and imparted knowledge to her students.

Unfortunately, there was torrential rain that destroyed the school and all students became school-less. The Headmaster visited the Minister of Education in that province for some money to repair the classroom but came back with nothing. The Headmaster told Xia that the Minister stated that he will only give the money if Xia asks for it. Xia had never met any ministers before and was afraid that she will make the things worse but still decided to pay a visit to the Minister. She walked more than 10 kilometres to the Minister's office. The Minister talked much nonsense but did not mention about the subsidies until late at night.The Minister looked like a person filled with evil thoughts.

At night, he asked Xia to follow him to a room to take the money. When she walked in, the only thing she saw was a big bed. That night, she lost her virginity. The Minister raped her.

Her drop of virgin blood on the bedsheet and was redder than the colour of the national flag in the room.

Xia did not cry, for all she thought of was the students' eyes that was filled of disappointment. She wanted to rebuild the classroom for them.

She did not tell anyone about the rape case after she went home.

The next day, with the money brought back by Xia, all villagers bought some wood and rebuilt the classroom. However, whenever there was a heavy rain, the classroom was still usable. Xia always tell the students that the province ministry department will build a good school for them. In the past half year, the Headmaster had visited the ministers more than 100 times and never got any money from them. He is the only one who knew what the minister did to Xia, yet he can do nothing about it. The new semester came but a lot of students could not pay their fees and could not attend school. Most of them followed their parents to work in the farm. Xia felt sad about that.

When Xia's wish of all students can go to school was torn, she took off all her cloths and sweared to her naked body that she will use this body to exchange the opportunities for the children to go to school. She knew that all the girls in the village were working as hookers to earn a living and she knew that it was a shortcut for her to earn money. She bade goodbye to the Headmaster, her father and the school. She tied her hair up as two ponytails and walked to the city. When she left, her father smiled but the Headmaster cried....

In that flowerful city, Xia was not happy at all but in her mind, there were only a broken classroom and the disappointed eyes of students. She walked into a hair saloon and laid down on a dirty bed, and carried out her second "dirty" business. That night, in her diary, she wrote: "The Minister is that unhumane that even my first customer was better!"

She sent all her earnings except those for her to live on to the Headmaster. He followed her instructions to use the money on the development of the school. Many people kept asking where did the money come from and the Headmaster only told them that it was some donation of society.

After a while, people knew that the source of money was from the teacher and many reporters wanted to interview her but she just refused and the reason being was that she was just a prostitute.

With the money, the school changed. First month, there was a new blackboard; second month, a wooden table and chair; third month, all children had their own books; fourthth month, all children had red ties; fifth month, no children went to school with barefooted.

On the sixth month, Xia came back. All her students welcomed her happily and said 'Teacher is so beautiful'... Seeing all students' smiling face, Xia cried... She thought of how much tears she had shed and how much grief she suffered for the past six months, but she felt all suffering she endured was of worth when she saw all these children.

After few days at home, she went back to the city.

And at seventh month, a exercise playground was built; eighth month, basketball; ninth month, all students had their new pencils, and by the tenth month, the school had their own national flag and students raised the national flags daily with pride. However, during the eleventh month, a land developer refused to use a condom and caused the unwanted pregnancy of Xia. After abortion, she became the developer's mistress. Few months later, the developers dumped her because land value in ShengZhen was plummeting but he did not even pay her a single cent.

Xia was tired of this kind of life, she thought of going home and back to the school, but she had yet fulfilled her students' dream which were building a concrete classroom and buying two computers for the students. Because of these, she went back to beg the developer and the developer just refused to pay anything but introduced a foreigner to her. He claimed that the foreigner will pay her 3000 renminbi for one night. When she thought of the torrential rain happened last time that has destroyed the school, she accepted it and went to the hotel with a tired body and soul . She sweared that she will go back to her home and school after that.

However, she died of violation by three foreigners in turn. Moreover, she just passed her 21th birthday.

Xia died without fulfilling her final wishes which were getting a concrete classroom and two computer for the students.

A hooker died silently, the sky of ShengZhen was still as blue as before, ministers still happily sitting in their office, many expensive cars still running on street, people still happily discussing about the share market, house market, cars, and movies, music and love. Youngsters tried to suicide because of small matters that happened between couples.

At this time, students with teachers and few hundreds of villagers attended the funeral in this small village.

In the funeral, people saw a black and white photo of Xia with two pony tails and a smiling face. Headmaster opened the diary of Xia and read in front of all students: "Each prostitution, can help one unschooled child; become a mistress once, can rescue a hopeless primary school..."

The national flag dropped to its half... Probably this was the ONLY moment when the national flag dropped to its half for a GREAT hooker in China's history.

After I read this, I cried for two hours. From now on, I won't discriminate any hooker, because among them there is a Xia. Hope you will forward this mail to all forum, friends, webspaces, to let all our governments understand when they are only paying lips service and making empty promises, when they are drinking in the pub, when they are doing dirty politics. Someone used her own power to change the world. Xia is using her sadly eye to look at all of us. Although she is just a hooker, she is more clean and saint than any of us. In this cold and dirty society, what she gave to the students is unconditional LOVE.

Xia left the world with wishes, can we continue her mission of bringing hope to the poor? If we can, why don't we share our love to these children in Third World countriesor support those who try to be Xia in our country? Share our love to them, support them more... we can be saints ourselves.

The once soporific lecturer finally managed to keep me awake by teaching me dynamics. At least he left a lasting impression during his last lesson with us.

One of THE most devastating, catastrophic event that ever hit the OUR CLUB people this must be! Amin the president is charged for cycling over a bird on Jalan BU 6/11 and under the condemnation from himself. It is highly suspected that this bird might be the last specimen of the bird only known by its scientific name Yaamin bandarutamaensis subspecies rihannae.

Mr Amin is currently not BAILED OUT from the problem because of his terrible act of whistling-while-cycling-back-from-girl's-house-because-very-happy-and-in-his-excitement-forgot-to-look-for-what-is-on-the-road-and-take-no-notice-of-a-poor-avian-creature-lying-on-the-road-with-a-bruised-leg-and-WORST-still-thought-it-was-a-bump-on-the-road-and-just-let-his-dunno-what-brand-bicycle-wheels-roll-mercilessly-over-the-creature-God-created-that-a-loud-"PRAKKK"-sound-echoed-through-the-whole-BU6-neigbourbood.

This resplendent creature now can only lie down in agony waiting for death to come and probably think of terrible things such as its legs will become a famous Chinese dish...

I don't know whether hamsters suffer from the forementioned disorder, but Cal the hamster is soon becoming Cal the tall guy! From diabetes milletus to anorexia nervosa, what extremes!

One month ago there were fat and juicy ~~and ready dipanggang~~, now they both lost weight that Cal seems to be back into a baby hamster. Terrible lar, any hamster experts out there to help?

One of the suspicious observations I had was that they keep on drinking water with an increasing frequency (number of times) and amplitude (in sound). Probably Cal burned all his fat away as we on the fan in our room 24/7 for ventilation.

Or probably exams have a toll on hamsters too. Now you see the destructive is exams! They spare not even hamsters from their permeating killing power!!!

WHAT A THEME for the theatrical play "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Footstool Players! For LOVE, we really had to hope and PERSEVERE... you'll know what I mean later.

A Synopsis for the Blurries:
[It's all about a bunch of 27+2 adventurous teenagers struggling in going to Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre for the first time to watch a theatrical play entitled "Crazy Little Thing Called Love"]

Tonnes of trials and tribulations came the way. The booking system of KLPAC tickets, the calling of Mr Rudi to the rescue, the thank you-ing of Rudi and Colin in helping, the asking of "What Is LOVE To You?" poll, the thank you-ing to both genders who participated the poll, the finding of Amin and Mr Al to discuss, the powerpointing of the play to stunned faces of OUR CLUB members, the persuading of people in all classes to come for CLTCL, the thank you-ing of Amin, Nicholas, Sarah, Franky and Chan in voluntarily helping out at asking, the enquiring of transport from college, the thank you-ing of Mr Teh and drivers in sending us to Kelana Jaya, the waiting of people who come at Malaysian time, and finally the thank you-ing of the 26 fellow coursemates and Miss Effa and friend who came.

By the time KTM came, we the second batch of KBU CLTCL gang were so tired of waiting but thank God the train came at 7.50 post meridiem. Just can't wait to go and sit in KLPAC's lovely seats and be showered with dazzling light.

However, the adventure is just about to start.
AND I REALLY MEAN ADVENTURE!

Arriving at KTM Sentul in pitch darkness dotted with some emo-ishly lonely street lights, we were desperate to go KLPAC for it's 15 minutes more and Miss Effa was waiting! Hearing advice from strangers that we can cross to Jalan Strachan by walking on KTM track, yours truly stupidly followed. Only to find the door at the KTM pagar shut... -.-"

Fine, go astern... and MAN why is the junction of Jalan Perhentian SO FREAKING FAR! And cars almost banged on us while we rushed in the rain. Even though I practised "sediakan payung sebelum hujan", my freaking umbrella was crooked and was dysfunctional. And I ran ahead with my bag containing Leong's umbrella. Stupid me and poor him running in the rain. Guess that's what they call "berat sama dijinjing"...

And the way to KLPac was still way far ahead. And my watch was ticking to 8.30pm - the starting time of CLTCL. Feeling lost was I and thank God my navigational skills were sound. Still then it was scary journey of faith, reflecting all the process, procedures and bureaucracies in going CLTCL. Everyone was running, in boots, sports shoes or HEELS. I kept calling, making sure they turn in the right junction. I must say that never there was such a PERSEVERING group of students until I met them - in rain and all drenched.

Mr Rudi, Ms Effa and friend was already waiting at the entrance. And the five minutes of delay was finishing fast and with me the only person who reached KLPac at that time, I almost lost all hope that this outing will meet its goals. Then love, which always hope, came in. The play was delayed for 15 minutes just for us. How can I thank Footstool Players any more?!!!

The KBU people was soon in sight, one by one, tired yet determined to make it in time. We went in with strange faces wondering who are these drenched and wet youngsters... Well, it's the KBU students. Never give up, always persevere! And I just sat in gratitude looking at Ms Effa's astonished face of
WOW, YOU GUYS AR!!!

Exhausted but these feelings soon faded. Laughing like nothing ever happened was the students enjoying the CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE!!!

After few years addicted to Maplestory and now donno what game, glued practically to the computer(s) after the school till dad had to put curfew hours on playing computer and made several unsuccesful threats of hammering the monitor of the computer... YOU ARE NOW BLIND!!! (200 degress closer).

Ok lar, wearing spectacles did make my bro, Caleb bin Osama binti Laden a little more mature and a little less like a suicide bomber.

Chop: The Stick

Ah, that much disliked STICK!

筷子[kuàizi], as it's called, the chopstick make no relevance to me... It's supposed to enhance eating by increasing the speed, making eating faster "快", but this BAMBOO STICK, 竹 (aka Calvin) on the top of that character (neh, that thing on the top of 筷 is 竹 bamboo) IS ALWAYS MADE RETARDED in eating by that bamboo stick.

The only way I can properly use a chopstick is to POKE it into fishball, sotong-ball, pork-ball and whatever "-ball" edible... And never NEVER ask me to pick up those dainty, little rice-lets in the rice bowl using that abominable STICK. And oh those clumsy moments trying to get hold of the string of noodle with that CLUMSY plastic chopstick!

And Mr Discipline-Teacher Father always discriminate his bamboo son for scoring 13 A1s in SPM yet cannot use a chopstick properly. Even my much loved Chinese teachers said

"CALVIN, How can you CHINESE don't know how to use CHOPSTICK har!!! Zie dow CHAU zi hai dim yong sae ge mou?!!!
(Know how to write the Chinese character of shame or not?)

Thanks to that DUNNO-WHO-CREATED stick, my status of being a Chinese was jeopardized...
And WHAT'S WRONG with the style of holding the chopstick like that?!!! (That pic I got from some professional website teaching you how to hold chopstick sumore...)

Furthermore, research has shown that using chopsticks is HAZARDOUS to your health:

Thank God, for all those pro-chopsticks people including dad, those biases are bygones.

How can a STUBBORN HEADED and HANDED guy can change his prejudices?

David taught me how to use a chopstick even though he is a BANANA... it's actually simple. Fellow readers who are discriminated for holding the chopstick wrongly, please follow this tutorial and SHOW them who knows how to hold that weapon that can kill a fly single-handedly!

First of all this is the CORRECT way of holding a CHOPSTICK:

Two chopsticks pull up together and insert a middle fingertip between chopsticks and hold.

Now, how to do that?

One chopstick hold like below...

This is one is NO-GOOD, terrible-horrible-vegetable example...

Another one hold like a pencil, but make sure thumb is straight not bent...

Open the chopstick using your middle finger...

Close chopsticks using forefinger...

The thumb is used to hold the chopsticks and it barely moves...

When catching a heavy thing, the power is added to three upper points...

Confused ler, that's how people like to teach... make things so complicated, so up in the heavens... Don't worry ask David Woong to teach you... haha.

What if mankind were forced to evacuate Earth and someone forgot to turn the last robot off?

I came around to what the movie and the premise is for me: "Irrational love defies life's programming." We all fall into our ruts. We all fall into our routines, our distraction, and our automations. And it just takes random acts of kindness, joy, love, to make you appreciate what you have or to get out of the rut that you're in.. the state of humanity had become, to what WALL-E was going through, and what EVE's robotic life was like before somebody awakened her.

That's the crux of the picture.

Are you just going to follow your programming or are you going to take a chance?

WALL-E is the only one still truly living. And what is the ultimate purpose of living? To love. And WALL-E falls head over heels with a robot named EVE. Now, WALL-E's feelings aren't reciprocated because, well, she has no feelings. She's a robot, cold and clinical. WALL-E is the one who has evolved over time and garnered feelings. So in the end, it's gonna be WALL-E's pursuit to win EVE's heart, and his unique appreciation of life to become mankind's last hope to rediscover its roots. In short, it's going to take a robot's love to help make the world go round.

An inspiring essay for those who are having difficulty scoring in SPM Sejarah...

Agama Islam memberikan banyak pengaruh terhadap masyarakat Melayu tradisional pada abad ke-19. Pada abad tersebut masyarakat Melayu hidup dalam kegelapan. Kebanyakan masyrakat mengamalkan judi, riba dan melakukan banyak kesalahan seperti mencuri, merogol dan sebagainya. Kaum wanita pula dipandang hina dan mereka tidak dapat mewarisi kebijaksanaan moyang mereka.

Setelah agama Islam dipupuk. Penganut agama Islam mengenal sistem tenaga nasional, iaitu sebuah penjana kuasa elektrik yang memberikan masyarakat Melayu lampu. Dengan adanya cahaya dari lampu, masyarakat Melayu tidak akan hidup dalam kegelapan. Perlakuan seperti zina, riba, judi dan sebagainya tidak dilakukan lagi kerana malu adanya tiang lampu di merata-rata yang menyuluh tingkah laku mereka. In English, they are too shy to do tat stuff in the light. Scared ppl see ma. Stupid!

Mereka akhirnya dapat belajar kerana mempunyai lampu meja dan ini menjadikan mereka bijak. Mula-mula mereka mengambil UPSR, kemudian PMR, SPM dan akhirnya STPM. Banyak telah pergi ke Universiti Cahaya Langit kerana di sana terdapat lampu untuk pelajaran mereka. Adanya elektrik, mereka tengok filem cerita pokemon dan digimon. Akhirnya mereka berjaya membina balik empangan yg roboh itu dengan jentera yang berkuasa tinggi.

Just as many feel Tiger Biskuat with plain rice added with a dollop chilli sauce is worst than Fear Factor, coffee with salt is crazy!

Yet, with that crazy coffee with salt comes the crazy little thing called LOVE...

He met her on a party. She was so outstanding, many guys chasing after her, while he so normal, nobody paid attention to him. At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him, she was surprised, but due to being polite, she promised.

They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything, she felt uncomfortable, she thought, "Please, let me go home....". Suddenly, he asked the waiter. "Would you please give me some salt? I'd like to put it in my coffee." Everybody stared at him, so strange! His face turned red, but still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it.

She asked him curiously, "Why you have this hobby?"

He replied, "When I was a little boy, I was living near the sea, I like playing in the sea, I could feel the taste of the sea, just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my hometown, I miss my hometown so much, I miss my parents who are still living there". While saying that tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched. That's his true feeling, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can tell out his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has responsibility of home. Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family.

That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story.

They continued to date. She found that actually he was a man who meets all her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful. He was such a good person but she almost missed him! Thanks to his salty coffee!

Then the story was just like every beautiful love story, the princess married to the prince, then they were living the happy life... And, every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in the coffee, as she knew that's the way he liked it.

After 40 years, he passed away, left her a letter which said:

"My dearest, please forgive me, forgive my whole-life lie. This was the only lie I said to you---the salty coffee. Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous at that time, actually I wanted some sugar, but I said salt. It was hard for me to change so I just went ahead. I never thought that could be the start of our communication! I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, as I have promised not to lie to you for anything, but I was too afraid to do that...

Now I'm dying, I afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth: I don't like the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste… But I have had the salty coffee for my whole life! Since I knew you, I never feel sorry for anything I did for you. Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life. Even if I'm given the chance to live for the second time, still I want to know you and have you for my whole life, even though I have to drink that salty coffee again".

Her tears made the letter totally wet. Someday, someone asked her:

"What's the taste of salty coffee?"

"It's sweet," she replied.

Pillow Bun is in the Air

Cruising along the East Coast Highway, the love that is in the air - PILLOW BUNS! permeated the thoughts of the Yongs and as humans in total depravity saved by grace, they were once again restored in relationship to that quaint town of Seri Jaya. Not by someone dying on the cross, but by crossing the road. Narrow was the road down to that rustic old mining town but hey it leads to quite a heaven... of PILLOW BUNS! Yeah, what the Saviour said was rather true, narrow road leads to heaven. However, I am in no way implying that wide highway which leads to Kuantan is the same broad way which leads to that God-forsaken place. Yet, somehow that ends-of-the-world town I come from is a little forsaken.

Enough of theological crap... let's move forward to historical crap... Weee!

It is one of the fueling stations, food of course, prior to the construction of East Coast Highway. Hitherto, poor anthropological creatures had to toiled in their antique modes of transport for not less than five strenous hours before they can reach that fishing village. This little rustic town provide drivers and passengers a chance to get out of that steamy vehicle to get some steamy pillow buns. Oh, those energy-sapped and deprived of food souls would just flood the shop like hell!

Thanks to the popping with accolades highway, the restaurant had to switch their business strategy and can no longer depend only on Seri Jaya people to eat their delicacies. They planted a new shop in Kuantan and it was quite a success. However, we just want to savour the moments we had at the old shop.

Let's explore one of the deadliest sins and temptations abounding in Seri Jaya!

Have you ever wondered the sweat drops that perspired down your best friend who toiled for you day and night was evaporated by the gales of your criticism and those tiny molecules of perspiration strove to maintain that weak van der Waals forces among them while carried away into the atmosphere to be condensed and had to be cooled of all the hot feelings of being rejected into whitish snow and then fell gently only to rest upon the highest mountain in the world and wait for years or decades or even millenia just to be stepped on to melt and have a chance to flow down the glacier but within nano-seconds it became frozen again by the merciless cold winds eddying through the mountaneous region, however it was lucky to be melted by many mountaineers who polluted the mountains and finally flow down into a stream and went through a Jonah experience and eventually reached the vast unknown ocean, trying to find its way, but before it can swim anymore, it evaporated and underwent liquefaction and fell on some rainforest area and again went swimming into a stream but got caught by a water treatment plant and had to be raped by chlorine, fluorine and aluminium silicate and this pitied water molecules was channeled into an ungrateful mouth via some irresponsibly maintained water pipes and it took ages if not eternity for some chemical reaction and hormones that control thankfulness to actually let out this water from some blind yet can physically see eyes?

Is that the longest sentence in the world? Sounds grammatically wrong all over...

By the way, Calvin is not getting emo but actually dreamt that he was this drop of perspiration turned into tears drops... And I'm not changing into an Elena...

Once you get out from the car in Tanjung Jara Resort Car Park, that sense of serenity just permeates your heart and soul with that gentle scented breeze blowing softly on the hard cold and tensioned facial tendons...

Even the lonely corridors gives you the feeling like a royalty walking in an oriental palace. And the fishes in the pond just rush to the side and welcome you to this haven by their gulping sound...
The reception is just so natural with that lighting and the natural breeze as air conditioning. With the crispness of the morning air, cheerful faces greet you GOOD MORNING!!!

The resort is just bursting with life and energy!!!

The animals here are just amazingly friendly - squirrels hopping among the tropical greeness and robins in love singing their love anthem...LOVE IS IN THE AIR...

Actually, the sand in Pantai Batu Burok is quite terrible too, probably because the batu burok metamorphosize into pasir burok. However, it's still an amazing beach with gentle zephyrs and clear blue skies...

Penyu-land: The Adventure [2] - Kopi Jantan

Don't ask me why I name this post Kopi Jantan! Speculate as much as you want...

It's not because I tasted Kopi Jantan and my libido power aka tenaga batin jantan came back, but one thing for sure, we RAPED another waterfall... without serious kickbacks or revenge this time. Anyway, I just realised we missed seeing the highest waterfall in Malaysia - Chemerong Waterfall. There is this 305 metre waterfall if we were to walk further up instead of admiring the small stream of water rushing down and hit my chin on boulders.

Walking slowly and always on the lookout for rocks and moss so Sekayu can't have a revenge on me... Anyway, Sekayu was kinder than Chemerong and welcomed us with pools of white waterlilies...

However, this sly slithering creature on the ground was a scare to me... huge millipede...

Meeting His Relatives

Once upon a totally not wind-calm-sun-beautiful (风和日丽) Saturday, Calvin visited his relatives - BEARS in Z*O*O NEGARA

Kinda like relatives... although I still can't comprehend why in the Hakka dialect, Yong means Bear instead of Goat... my surname is Bear in Chinese for those who don't know... so Yong Tau Foo is never my nickname... albeit after the fatal Chemerong's Revenge aka chin-ache, Auntie Sarah started calling me Goat instead of the acting-cute BEAR BEAR... the scar really looks like a goatie...

Enough of crap, actually it was the Z** Neg*ra Volunt**r Programme I joined through A-Levels Club. Quite a number of OUR CLUB members (OUR CLUB is an official club for AUSMAT students in KBU, peculiar name huh?) joined this: Yours truly, Chan, Leong, Fern, Sarah, Daniel, Zee Man, Nicholas, Gabriel, Jonathan...

Upon arrival, every one suddenly got very interested to visit the National Zo*'s lavatory and some desperados entered the wrong sex cubicles... And some are scared to death by this snake lingering near the toilet... OTICE BOA, new species eh?

(For those whose minds can't think laterally or those without a brain, it's a n-OTICE BOA-rd)

After the horrific spelling scare, we were grouped into groups and my team was sent to the Zo* Veterinary Hospital. It was one of the coolest part where teams are sent to!

Besides greeted by Mr Khairul, the zoo guide, we met this cute geometric tortoise which Calvin the walking encyclopaedia remembers as hailing from South Africa. I did not what sickness this cute creature has, but it seems pretty happy in its bowl of lettuce...

Then we met this majestic lioness in captivity. IT WAS HUGE!!! Mr Khairul said she had her tail amputated because of some infections. I really pity her...

However, voluntary jobs aren't really that interesting as you may think. In fact most voluntary jobs aren't interesting. We were asked to sweep the hospital compound with the most prehistoric lidi broom you've ever seen and man the stick is SHORT!!!! Torture for a guy like me...

Boredom is just something self-induced. With hyper Nick and chatty Gab, sweeping leaves was a fun process. Even the hyena in the cage outside laughed with us... Soon the compound was clean!

Job done and Mr Really-Kind-Khairul allowed us to have a stroll in the zoo to look at all the animals. First there was this girl who wanted to feed the hippopotamus with sweet potatoes but accidentally threw and hit the fleshy lips of the hippo... The hippo must be pretty angry! Then we saw other volunteers cleaning up leaves in the bear's captivity... oh, that was hard! Thank God they were separated from the bears by an electric fence.

And how I can forget how animals looked at Leong! Remember that lioness in the hospital? There was once Leong face his butt to the lion and WHOA! The lioness moved towards him... So scary! She must have taken him for food. Then there was this seladang, the cow with stockings on looking intently at him. And Leong was wearing a red T-shirt. We were anxious that the bull will start kicking his hooves and start chasing after us... Conclusion: Animals can be quite judgemental too...

10.30 a.m. and we obedient voluntary workers went back to the Hospital. This time the job was even more boring. Recording all the expired veterinary medicines. First there were all these super long-named vaccines and then some were without expiry dates and those with expiry dates dating from 1993 (for future readers: we visited the zoo in 2008). And I smeared some hippo or elephant or whatever pachyderm anti-bloating oil on my hand...

The whole process was mind torturing and I just hated recording long names... After two hours of brain jam, finally all was done and ready to throw. Mr Khairul had this fun job of pouring out all the pills and vitamins out which looks really like candies.

What soon came after that, no one wanted to experience... Leong and Nick volunteered to carry the expired medicines to the disposal site. And guess where is it? ZOO MORTUARY...

Mr Khairul opened the door to HELL and a stench of doom rushed out to those standing outside. In the abyss, there were two dead lions with their legs coming out. It's amazing how Mr Khairul can deal with such carcasses. And it sure took lots of gut for Nick and Leong to enter that forsaken place and with the speed of lightning they ran for their lives...

However, they are going to have a tough time washing clothes saturated with dead lion odour...

Overall it was still enjoyable and we really thanked Mr Khairul for allowing to work in his work place!

The whole trip to Zo* Negara was really exciting with all those animals and humans. However, I really feel sad for Zo* Negara. Now I understand why it isn't maintained well. It is not because the zoo keepers are lazy but lack of funding. Less people are coming and there is insufficient staff. Supposedly to-be-veterinaries like Mr Khairul had to do all the menial job of sweeping the area besides helping all the sick animals. The government should really make an effort to make it a better place for conservation of animals. Meanwhile, while we are hoping that almost impossible outcome, try your best to be part of the Zo* Negara Volunt**r programme. You'll benefit tonnes from it!

Penyu-land: The Adventure [1] - Chemerong Celaka-ness

Terengganu, the land where nature embraces heritage...

And the land of mist until 9 ante meridiem and so mysterious and ulu... and the fecund land dotted with interesting chocolate indulgence cakes aka male bovine dung [aka BULLSH!T for those who are still blur...]

Mr Disciplinary Yong shouted and all the recruits of the Yong family and a member of the Eu family woke up and departed Kuantan at 5.45 am. All the way to Hulu Terengganu from Kuantan, there was this sense of mysteriousness shrouded by the thick mist. And it was freaking cold in the Mahindra Scorpio... Indians have very hot temperature, that's why their cars have super cooling systems... Anyway, as mentioned, piles of freshly baked chocolate indulgence cakes welcomed us on the way to Cheramang waterfall. Not something derogative for Terengganu, it's the culture that visitors just have to experience, bovines welcoming with poo... natural heritage isn't it? I just pity my maid having to wash all the dung off the tyre and the roads of Terengganu which we are going to pollute...

Driving through 12 kilometres of dung, we finally arrived at Hutan Lipur Chemerong...

with a Eu-ean retarded look and a Yong-ean mild scoliosis-tic posture and another Yong-ean acting cool-ness...

The cool waters of various hue rushed through solemn rocks, pried at by curious humans who have thoughts of raping its virginity (literally meaning, wanting to swim in the pool)

So then, without further ado, they crept carefully to their victim for the path was wet and slippery... watching it with lustful eyes wasn't enough... they decided to walk over its bosoms (huge boulders) to have a better lustful look at it.

However, the victim was not voluntarily allowing us to rape her... of course rapes aren't voluntary anyway... so as Calvin was plodding on its bosoms with his high centre of gravity...

and with forceful rapes on its bosoms... in accordance with Newton's Third Law, the revenge law... stability was affected when Calvin's foot slipped into the crevices of the bosoms and THUD went Calvin's chin resting on the bosom's apex...

Chemerong carved a smile on my chin, joker betul! And Calvin ran away as soon she knows her victim is defensive... As they say that a diarrhoea is called Montezuma's Revenge, a chin-ache shall be called Chemerong's Revenge...

Anyway, Calvin can still smile because he ain't defeated yet, and with a double smile carved on his face

He's really grateful that God forgiven this heinous sin of Calvin of raping a waterfall and treading on its bosoms by allowing only a small bruise and not a rupture of the veins which will sent Calvin into Abraham's bosoms (heaven)...

It was Sunday and I really experience God's grace even though we can't worship Him with the church. So let everything that has breath

This amazing plant called Nepenthes mirabilis... the wonderful "mirabilis" intoxicating drug to relieve Calvin's chin-ache "nepethe"... It comes in really wonderful shades of red and the sanguine "blood red" lips or peristome reminds me of that tragic accident...

So never rape a waterfall without its permission...
